Along the entire length of the waterfront, wooden wind turbines and gri gri remind that 20 years ago Koilada was one of the leading fishing villages in Greece. It is better known, however, for the Fraghthi cave, which is located directly opposite its port, and where some of the most important prehistoric finds in the Greek area were found.
